Preparations and trial runs

For the past several months, I've been preparing for this adventure.  Dad has graciously let me ride his Trek 1000 for this trip.  With some minor modifications.... new pedals, tires, bike rack, and other items purchased (lightweight tent, sleeping bag & air mattress), I think I'm ready to go!

This past weekend, I've logged 47 miles on trial rides, with full panniers.  All has gone well thus far.

Gayle, Noelia and I begin our adventure next Sunday.  Our ride begins from Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine, FL and will conclude in Key West.

Now, to triple check the items I've packed!!

    Be safe and have fun! May you have a tail wind all the way. But if you don't, put Gayle or Noelia up front and let them work. :)
